Tremont, Tennessee—Walker Valley Cemetery is located within the same area of Tremont, which was also a logging camp like its sister town of Elkmont. A man by the name of Will Walker settled in this land in 1859 and in the coming years, he became a legend, so much that in fact, this area was named for him. He was a famed marksman whose skills were so impressive that he was banned from entering sharpshooting contests. He also was a beekeeper and it was said that he harvested honey without the help of protective equipment. His family is buried in this lonely graveyard, yet ironically, he is not.
